Old English canteen Circa 1880 brand ELKINGTON & Co from the Birmingham Manufacture. This case is made of Mahogany with a brass cartridge on its lid, it is lined with midnight blue velvet. This service is made up of 12 hallmarked forks (I think silver) and 12 unhallmarked knives. This cutlery is finely carved with floral motifs and their handles are made of mother-of-pearl. It is a fine example of a sumptuous era. The size of the box: width 29 cm, depth 26 cm and height 6 cm. Dimensions of a fork length 17 cm and the knife length 21 cm.
