Paul Anderbouhr is a painter renowned for his Parisian scenes, as much as for his Moroccan, Italian, Spanish, or southern Mediterranean landscapes. He was a student of the post-impressionist painter Pierre-Gaston Rigaud (1874-1939).
He exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in 1937 and 1938.
He had his first personal exhibition in 1953, at the avant-garde gallery Paul Durand-Ruel. He collaborated with this prestigious Parisian gallery until 1973 at the rate of one exhibition per year.
From 1949, the artist divided his time between Africa, notably Morocco where he died, and his native France.
