Miniature portrait on ivory of Princess Élisabeth of France (Élisabeth Philippe Marie Hélène de France 1764-1794). Sister of Louis XVI, eighth and last child of Louis XV. She is represented here as a "gardener", dressed in a simple dress, a veil on her shoulders and wearing a flowered straw hat. Presented in a 19th century blackened pear wood frame. Bears the signature of the painter Verpond.
