Wooden frame (usual wear). Frame dimensions: 63 x 48 cm.
Dimensions at sight of the etching: 44 x 30 cm.
Signed and numbered 19/120. The photographs were taken with the glass.
Nico Eekman (Brussels, 1889-Paris, 1973).
Painter, engraver, draftsman, watercolorist and illustrator. His work develops an expressionism tinged with cubism, then phantasmagoria. His technique is similar to that of the 16th century Flemish: smooth and meticulous workmanship, linear and expressive exacerbation of the figure. Dutch born in Brussels where he lived before staying in Amsterdam and Nuenen (Netherlands) before settling permanently in Paris in 1920.
