"Table ''à La Tronchin'' In Mahogany"
The Tronchin'' table is a tray table that can be raised and tilted as desired, or even positioned horizontally. It opens with a side shelf and a drawer on the front housing a small desk lined with green felt.Invented by the cabinetmaker Louis Dufour during the second part of the 18th century, it did not bear the name of the Geneva doctor until a few years later.
Note for this example the fine molding at the edges of the base giving it a beautiful elegance. It dates from the end of the 18th century or the very beginning of the 19th century, around 1800.
