This painter of the Spanish school was active especially in the second half of the 19th century. Specializing in maritime ambiances and particularly harbor views like this one. This painting bears stamps on the back, on the panel and on the frame, which are difficult to read, however we can easily see "Barcelona" stamped on both, which leads us to believe that it is the port of Barcelona, one of its favorite ports with that of Cadiz.
