Bronze Sculpture C Valton Wounded Lioness.

Artist: Valton Charles
Bronze sculpture by Charles Valton representing the lioness wounded with two arrows from the late 19th century. Very beautiful sculpture with a very beautiful rendering of the musculature of the animal highlighted by the magnificent bronze patina Charles Valton was a very great animal sculptor, student of Barye and Emmanuel Fremiet. He took inspiration for the creation of this sculpture from a bas relief discovered in Nineveh in 1850 representing a pierce of two arrows during a hunt led by Assurbanipal. Very dynamic sculpture highlighting movement. Possibility of sending in France and throughout the world by secure package. Invoice and certificate provided.
