Louis XVI Period Chest Of Drawers Stamped Roussel
Beautiful half-moon chest of drawers in flamed mahogany. It opens with two drawers and two doors, roughened fluted uprights. Gilded bronze ornamentation: beaded pull rings, keyholes with laurel branches and tied ribbon, pompoms and beads, beaded clogs. Rudented fluted spindle feet. Marble top with projections and reversed cavet. Oak frame, original locks, buffer varnish. Stamps of Roussel (Pierre Roussel 1723-1782) and JME. Late 18th century period.
