Polychrome earthenware, titled and signed by the artist on the back. Circa 1950. Slight surface enamel defects on the right side of the tray, restorable if desired. Diameter: 33 cm.

René Quéré (1932) Born in Ploaré, near Douarnenez, he studied fine arts in Quimper in the 1950s. His teachers were Jos Le Corre and Pierre Toulhoat. It was at their invitation that he worked at the Keraluc earthenware factories in Quimper. From 1956, he participated in group exhibitions. He mainly shows groups of paintings in personal exhibitions, in Brittany, Paris, Belgium and Germany. We find in his work his attachment to Douarnenez, the world of sailors and the Breton landscapes.
