Beautiful Louis XIV style cartel in imitation of Boulle marquetry. Love pediment in gilded bronze, acanthus falls on all sides. Uprights with falling flowers and busts, sides with interlacing, fleurons and stylized grilles. Base with trimmings, foliage stocks and fleurons, top feet. Glass door with putti and heart-shaped friezes. Gilt bronze dial with scrollwork, enameled cartouches with Roman numerals, three winding holes. Mechanism signed FHS Germany. Works.
