"Jean-pierre II Buchet : 18th Century Sterling Silver Candlesticks Brittany Rennes 1733-34 - Coat Of Arms"
Rare Pair of Rennes Candlesticks in Solid Silver from the Louis XIV era engraved with period coats of arms under a Count's Crown. The pair very well hallmarked Flambeaux (bases and bells) with the Hallmarks of Charge (9 with ermine in the center, all crowned) and Discharge (fly) for RENNES 1733-34, the Hallmarks of Jurande for RENNES 1733-34 (letter date " V" with crowned ermine) and the Hallmarks of the Master Goldsmith Jean-Pierre II BUCHET born in 1695 and received to practice in Rennes in 1720. This rare Pair of Rennes early 18th century candlesticks are in very good condition and remarkably hallmarked, very good quality with the bases in cast silver, beautiful patina and micro-scratches from use. For an informed collector....
