Trumeau Decorated With A Gallant Scene, 19th Century

This delightful trumeau duly presents a painted scene in its upper part. We see a couple of young people united in a gallant and rural scene. As if to reinforce this pastoral scene, carved and gilded wooden attributes celebrate the peasantry and crown the mirror. It is a scythe, a straw hat, a sheaf of wheat and a gourd which nicely evoke the summer harvests. The whole thing is in very good condition.
