Animated Marine Painting Oil On Wood Well Framed Late 19th Century "return From Fishing" Northern School

Pretty painting from 1891 by G. Louvel (dated and signed lower right engraved), presented in its beautiful original frame in stuccoed gilded wood, this spontaneous and successful work represents women and their baskets joining fishermen returning to the beach disembarking their fish. The sea is rough and an impression of wind reigns in this painting. A large boat is next to the two sailboats and a loaded fisherman on foot comes to get the fish he was unable to catch. The scene is beautifully bright and painted quickly and efficiently for a very successful rendering; the waves, the sails in the distance and the clouds playing on a rather clear sky offer us a lively and very decorative panorama.
