Superb watercolor by the London watercolorist John Absolon (1815-1895) presenting a view of a series of objects such as a white marble statue, a shell, 2 Chinese porcelains... in a green background and large red curtain embroidered with fringes. Signature in pen at the bottom left "John Absolon" the frame has on its background labels from the Parisian auction house Hôtel Drouot during the sale on Tuesday November 26, 1935 led by Maître Boisgirard. Very beautiful creation in great condition. Dimensions of work 41/30cm Frame dimensions 45.5/34cm
