Provençale Chest Of Drawers - Nîmes, 18th Century
Solid walnut wood chest of drawers opening with two drawers on the front, molded and slightly curved.
It rests on 4 nicely arched legs.
The molded sides follow the line of the lower side rails. The low, openwork facade crossbar presents a beautiful sculpture of a rockery cartouche surrounded by flowering foliage.
Beautiful ornamentation of natural bronzes (small missing on the keyhole of the bottom drawer).
Nîmes work from the 18th century.
Old restorations (notably the 4 attached feet).
