Portrait Of Lady 18th On Canvas
Very pretty portrait of a woman proud to be spoiled by numerous jewels. This painting is done on red backgrounds, which can be seen appearing under the glaze. Indeed, a lightness of the material which combines with the fabrics and lace represented. This canvas was restored in the 19th century and today only has three very small gaps in the brown background. The person's title has been transcribed on the back, as well as the date of execution.
