Rare Wall Light Console In Gilded Wood With Imperial Eagle With Outstretched Wings Late 18th Century
Artist: Non Signée
Rare and beautiful wall light console in gilded wood, very expressive and remarkable in its sculpture and gilding, with the symbol of the Emperor in majesty, wings spread, head to the left (the head to the right is Austrian). A piece of curiosity which corresponds to 10 years shared between the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century, in very good condition this hanging shelf will have a role as much decorative as useful for presenting an object. Beautiful aerial shape, with the symbol of canopies borrowed from Turkish warrior iconography. It rests on a tapered base fluted in plume with beautiful borders decorated with bosses and stylized drooping acanthus leaves. The top is also gilded with a corbin beak, all reinforced at the back by an iron and T. A rare and beautiful piece of curiosity where at this period lightning in the greenhouses of the invader did not appear before the conquests.... An interesting subject with a symbol of power and pride. In very good original condition, period gilding... For experienced amateurs
