Lion with snake or lion of the Tuileries. Bronze patina dark brown medal. According to Antoine Louis Barye. Late 19th century cast iron signed on the side. Plaster model exhibited at the Salon of 1833. Commissioned in 1833 and purchased by King Louis-Philippe in 1836, then exhibited at the Salon of 1836 and placed in the Tuileries garden. Entry into the Louvre on March 28, 1911. Fine carving and beautiful patina. Weight: 12 kilos.
