Object description :

"Japan Late 19th C. (meiji Era) : "huge Lacquered Porcelain Dish Ii""
Japan late 19th century (Meiji era): "Huge lacquered dish II decorated with Mount Fuji", lacquered porcelain and decorated with gold, in maki-e technique, enhanced with cinnabar and silver, diameter 62 cm, some accidents in periphery and reverse. Returns decorated with partial lacquer on the reverse which is loaded with an unread signature, but obviously from a Master. Dominating the scene, Mount Fuji crowned with clouds contemplates the arm of the sea alive with sampans, the balanced composition in the foreground of a twisted pine tree.
