Isaac Mintchine, Ukrainian painter born in kyiv in 1900 and died in La Garde (France) in 1941. Mintchine began painting at the age of 16. He left kyiv for Germany in 1923 and had his first exhibition there in 1925. He then left for Paris and exhibited from 1929 at the Algérie Manteau and at Léopold Zborowski.
