Bronze proof with dark medal patina representing a horse standing still, head down. Signed on the terrace "I HAPPINESS" 19th century (old proof). Isidore Jules BONHEUR (1827 - 1901) French painter and sculptor, third child of the painter Raymond Bonheur (1796-1849). Her older sister, Rosa Bonheur, is the most famous child of the siblings. Student of his father Raymond and his sister Rosa, he then entered the School of Fine Arts in Paris. He then turned towards animal sculpture.
