Pewter TIMBAL with gadrooned foot, engraved in full with a woman in a crinoline and floral motifs.
Hallmark of René PARAIN received master in 1763: crowned hammer / RP / P. (the second initial P of Paris)
Control hallmark “à la nave”, with the arms of Paris, used from 1765.
Height: 11 cm.
PARIS, Last third of the 18th century

In very good condition
The timbal used by the anise water itinerant sellers of Paris were of the same model but not engraved. This is why they were often called “coconut timbales”.
