By Albert-Marie LEBOURG (1849-1928)
Rouen post-impressionist school

Here in a small format unusual for this painter, an oil on thick, beveled wooden panel: LE CHEMIN DE CAMPAGNE.
Signed lower left: a.Lebourg
Panel dimensions: 27 x 22 cm
Frame dimensions: 53.5 x 47.5 cm.

In a large, very structured gilded wooden frame with some accidents at the top towards the center and at the bottom corners.
The work can be sold without a frame. Of course, in this case, given the significant weight of this frame, the price will be €1,450 including shipping for any destination.

Bibliography: "L'Ecole de Rouen" by François Lespinasse
Brief biography: Lebourg participated twice in the Impressionist exhibitions in 1879 and 1880. Many Parisian art dealers exhibited his works: Antonio Mancini in 1896, Bernheim in 1899 and 1910, Rosenberg in 1903 and 1906. Lebourg was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1903. Great among the greats, a member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, he participated in almost all of these Salons from 1891 to 1914. The most important exhibition dedicated to him took place in 1918 in Paris at the Georges Petit gallery.
