A chiseled and gilded bronze fireplace insert and magnifying glass. The clock in the shape of a cippe with a pediment surmounting a facade presenting a bas-relief representing an allegory between two pilasters surmounted by an eagle holding thunderbolts; the sides flanked by the symbol of the generals of the Empire; the base with broad heart stripes; base on plinth with marquetry fillets; the enamelled annular dial indicates the hours in Roman numerals, the center with a star pierced with palmettes. Crystal vases cut into diamond points; Medici shape, they rest on bases with mother-of-pearl medallions containing an urn and surmounted by an eagle; the sides with baskets laden with flowers; base with foliage moldings on an amati background; little eagle feet.
