Thai Nakon: Large Niellé Sterling Silver Cigarette Case. Divinity Decor.

Large niello silver case, Thai work, probably first half of the 20th century.

The case is rectangular, with rounded edges.
The lid is decorated with a superb decoration of arabesques left in reserve and nielloed. The center represents a praying deity.

The niello decoration is very detailed, with numerous foliage scrolls forming curves and counter-curves highlighting the central figure.

The case opens with a push button.
