Very beautiful silver-gilt cutlery set, in the Napoleon III style and period, including:
- 12 dessert/cheese/dessert knives, 19.8 cm,
- 12 dessert/dessert spoons, 18.2 cm,
- 12 dessert/dessert forks, dessert, 18 cm.
Blades of knives and cutlery (spoons and forks) in solid silver vermeil. Handles of the knives in vermilion-filled silver.
Pieces in excellent condition, few visible scratches from use and a perfect shine on the gilding, very present.
Minerva 2nd grade hallmark on the cutlery, on the blades and on the handles of the knives.
Goldsmith's mark "JM" to be determined, on the cutlery, on the blades and on the handles of the knives.
Sold in 2 original 19th century boxes, in good condition, but without key.
French work from the mid-19th century.
Total net weight without knives: 941 g, knives alone gross: 416 g, total gross weight with case; 2.9kg.
