"Renaissance Style Cathedra In Oak" Renaissance style cathedra with high back in finely carved oak, late 19th century. The seat lifts up and gives access to a chest. This armchair was made of finely carved oak, in the last decades of the 19th century. Its shape and decor are inspired by Gothic seats, we find the straight and high rectangular backrest as well as sculpted motifs reminiscent of those of cathedrals and in particular the rose window frames and pinnacles. The solid seat is decorated with relief decorations representing Gothic windows.
