Beautiful large portrait painted in a right profile bust of a young deputyBeautiful portrait painted with fine features offering the eyes the powerful value of the character. We can notice the hairstyle by a wig and its drooping catogan, the dress of a beautiful fabric with gold buttons, the elegant vest nicely pulled out and the wide puffy tie. A nice portrait around 1790.
A number of bust portraits at the end of the 18th century, as early as the Revolution, were represented in paintings and prints under the influence of the school of David, by himself, Girodet, Isabel, or Boze for example, and their workshops, of characters, some known as members of the Assembly, the Convention and then the Executive Board, others unknown today, according to this interesting and new representation of personalities of that time.
