Rare vase with motifs of fish and a seahorse. Normally this factory is known for making stoneware pitchers and tableware. Some ceramists have executed commissioned works with character or animal motifs or pieces for commemorations. The Museum of Walloon Life dedicated to the La Roche blue sandstone factory, in June and July 1942. Introduced to La-Roche-en-Ardenne (Belgium) in 1878 by Wilhelm Kalb, this ceramic fired at high temperature, at blue colored decorations, is so hard that it is called sandstone.
