Art Nouveau candlestick by the Hugo Berger company, dating from between 1900 and 1910. The candlestick measures 41 cm; typically, they are no more than 30 cm tall. The metalwork shop was based in Schmalkalden, in southwestern Thuringia. The piece is of high quality and is signed on the bottom “Goberg Gesgesch” for a registered design in French.
