A large two-part tongue-shaped buckle crudely engraved with a fantastical beast motif. The composition of this beast echoes prehistoric cave paintings or the compositions of the chalk hills of the United Kingdom. it was found at Whaplode in Lincolnshire near Spalding & Holbeach. Dimensions: 5x4 cm.
