Very beautiful work for this 19th century painter born in Boulogne sur Mer in 1809 and died in the same city in 1868. He participated in the Paris Salon of 1835 to 1865 where he was a medalist several times. Present in the museums of Boulogne sur Mer, La Rochelle, Marseille. Note the excellent general condition and the very innovative and creative pictorial treatment for the mid-19th century, characteristic of a great painter.
