"Large Pichon Mixed Earth Vase In Uzès"
Large Etruscan-shaped vase in mixed earth signed Pichon, circa 1890.Among all the production, the Pichon specialty undoubtedly remains mixed soils, the exact date of their appearance is uncertain. A unique mixture of colored earth in the mass giving the effect of marble with multicolored veins, the oldest have only three colors: white, red and black. Green, obtained thanks to the addition of copper oxide, and blue, resulting from the addition of cobalt fry, appear during the third quarter of the 19th century.
