Painting By Léon Louis Lecuyer 19 Th Century “still Life With Bird”
Magnificent painting representing a bouquet of flowers with roses and peonies dominating in a landscape decorated with ruins and ancient statues in the background, of extreme finish and quality, it is on its original canvas and is signed and dated lower left by the famous still life painter born in Paris in the 19th century: Léon Louis LECUYER and dated 1866. He was a student of DUPUIS and especially Paul BAUDRY where we find all the mastery and pictorial quality of color rendering and precision. Exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1864 to 1868, this painting being most probably the one presented at the Salon of 1866. mil in its original brown wooden frame with very beautiful patina and workmanship.
