At the beginning of the 1920s, Edouard Halouze provided fashion drawings to "La Gazette du bon ton" and he participated in an exhibition devoted to "Fashion seen by painters" presented at the Museum of Decorative Arts.
Little by little, his style, mixing cubist decorations and costumes, established itself on the covers of music hall programs. In the 1930s, at the height of the art deco period, he produced remarkable lithographs colored with stencils.
