Sculpture in waxed and patinated oak wood, placed on a base, representing Saint-Nicolas, bishop of Myra, wearing his miter and crosier. At his feet in a salt room, the three little children brought back to life thanks to Saint Nicholas. Early 18th century period, Flanders. Small accidents on the fingers of the hands. The Legend of Saint Nicholas has it that the Saint resurrected three little children who had come to ask for hospitality from a butcher. He welcomed them and took advantage of their sleep to cut them into pieces and put them in the salting room.
