Furniture in two elements, composed in the lower part of a chest of drawers whose moving front is richly ornamented. Three drawers of different heights are decorated with marquetry on a background of developed mahogany veneer. On each drawer, a large symmetrical composition of light wood forms foliage, foliage and flowers. This set is surrounded by two lemon tree fillets. The pull is done using falling brass handles with openwork plates, composed of scrolls and foliage. In the center of each drawer, a large, finely carved entrance highlights the passage of the (rear) key activating the original lock, in working order. On each side of the drawers, we observe two large, moving S-shaped uprights. These are also decorated with beautiful light wood inlays forming plant motifs and oval friezes. The sides of this chest of drawers are also decorated with a marquetry composition with vase and plants. This chest of drawers is equipped in the lower part with an ornate crosspiece decorated with a sculpture depicting an antique profile in a medallion. The whole rests on two blackened claw feet at the front. The upper part is made up of a glass door on the front, the frame of which is inlaid with a string of flowers. On each side, the uprights with cut sides whose top is in the shape of a basket, inlaid with plant motifs. Inside, we find two blackened wooden shelves like the back and the bottom. This tall element rests on a slightly curved projecting base and is topped with a gendarme's hat cornice with hollow inlaid part, projecting return and inlaid concave part. This rare piece of furniture is in excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. However, there is a central crack on each side of the chest of drawers. A testimony of time and a guarantee of authenticity, these marks remain visible.
