"madonna" Italian School 17th

"Madonna" executed on a copper plate at the end of the 17th century. Her sweet face is surrounded by the radiant crown. Label on the back indicating provenance: "Collection Alphonse Wattel Bayart", former vice-president of the Société Artistique de Roubaix Tourcoing, dispersed in 1906. The painting is superbly highlighted by an 18th century frame gilded with gold leaf decoration of carved flowers. The dimensions with the frame are 26 cm x 22.4 cm.
