Folding Table 18th Century – Folk Art

Artist: Inconnu
Folding table
18th century – folk art

An 18th century folding table with a painting.
The philosopher Diogenes is depicted thinking in a barrel. Alexander the Great stands in the way of the sun shining on Diogenes. Diogenes waves his hand wearily, looks away from Alexander the Great and indicates that he is bothering him.

Original painting, the tripod table leg is more recent.
The mechanism still works.
