BBT (BERBIER BENARD et TUDENNE) Founded in 1862 by Frédéric Barbier and Stanislas Fenestre under the name "Barbier et Fenestre", it evolved into F. Barbier et Cie (1887-1893), F. Barbier et Cie Successeurs (1888), then Barbier et Bénard in 1889 to adopt its final name of Barbier, Bénard and Turenne, or BBT, at the beginning of the 20th century. Initially specializing in the manufacture of lighthouse lenses according to Fresnel models, it subsequently diversified to provide all the equipment necessary for maritime signaling establishments.
