Oils on canvas representing mountain landscapes as well as figures in the foreground. These two paintings are signed Fonville. Horace Antoine Fonville born March 9, 1832 in Lyon, died in 1914. Painter of genre scenes, animated landscapes and landscapes. His master was Nicolas Victor Fonville, his father (1805-1856) as well as Jacques Appian at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lyon in 1847 and 1848.
