A rare piece of curiosity, this small travel diptych finely represented with the Icon representing face to face Christ and Saint Paul (with the attributes of the Church) the co-founder of the base of the Christian Church. These two fine Icon paintings are remarkable for their finesse and quality, with a delicate touch on gold leaf. Entirely encased (on sycamore panels) in bronze with clasp and on top two small faceted emeralds in old cabochon cut. It is undeniably a rare and precious piece full of the magic that emanates great and with it all its mystery. In good condition and from the beginning of the 18th century, this portable gem is a marvel and touches me like an open book on the magic and spiritual power of the worship of Jesus Christ
