Very beautiful oil on wood from the end of the 19th century representing an allegory of the night. In fact, a bat, an owl, birds and the moon are represented in the background of the painting. The work is signed lower left M. Briqué and dated 1891. The painter also used the pyrography technique to create this work. Certain parts of the painting are in fact pyrographed before being painted in oil (see photos).
