"Figure Of A Young Androgyne"
Pencil and watercolour drawing by Filippo De Pisis depicting a half-length bust of a young man with both feminine and masculine features, probably androgynous. The drawing is signed in the lower right-hand corner with graphite and has undergone a conservative restoration (of which the condition report is available) to restore the structural and aesthetic integrity of the work, as well as to ensure its proper conservation over time.On the back is the inscription "Property of G. Comisso", a writer from Treviso and close friend of the painter, which could support the authenticity of the drawing, although it is not archived.
This work is framed in a coeval 'Marconi' frame, lacquered and highlighted in gold.
Its total dimensions are 60x50.5 cm.
An anti-reflective and anti-UV museum glass protects the work, helping to preserve it over time.
