Large Madonna of procession, Provence or Languedoc, 18th century

Carved, polychromed and gilded wood. A relic of the Virgin's veil accompanied by a philactery "Velo B(eata)(Maria Virgine)" is included in the base, behind a blown glass oculus. The Virgin who tramples the dragon supports the child Christ with her left arm, while the outstretched right arm presented flowers. The Virgin is dressed in a dress and a large veil with a very clever baroque drape.

There are a few accidents, restoration in the polychromy and gilding. The Virgin's nose is restored.
Height: 121 cm - width: 57 cm The base measures 49 cm wide by 49 cm deep
