Object description :

"Pair Of Bronzes By Christophe Fratin: Couple Of Bulls, Signed Dated, 1864"
Beautiful pair of large hollow, rectangular plaques with cut sides, representing in deep bas-relief a couple of black Camargues, with lyre horns, we have several herds in the surrounding area.
Each signed Fratin 1864, one of his last works…. Christophe FRATIN (1801-1864).
Each of these plaques, measuring 26cm x 19cm x 3cm, is embedded in deep molded walnut frames, with carved spandrels which are the original ones, specially designed. Wood has played a little, but is solid and has a beautiful patina.
Dimensions: 37cm x 29cm x 7.5cm. Gross weight: 3.4kg each sculpture.
