Monumental Four-poster Of Castle Bed

Monumental four-poster bed in Louis XIII style in oak. Origin of a castle near Blois. High and low bedside tables, paneled, molded and carved with foliage. Sculpted uprights with turned and tapered columns ending in Corinthian capitals. Canopy or bed canopy molded and sculpted with a large mask with the head of a young woman surrounded by leafy branches and topped with four large spinning tops at the corners (unassembled spinning tops). Damask fabrics in good condition. Molded and sculpted crossbars carried by flat feet. Complete bed with bedding (new mattress). Mattress dimensions 190cm x 140cm. Bed dimensions: height-308cm with spinning tops 288cm without long-220cm width-174cm. Old restorations. 19th century French work. Beautiful condition. Careful delivery.
