"Jean Luce, Tea Service Around 1930"
Rare tea service, created by Jean Luce, in extra fine Limoges porcelain, coated with a sober "cream Wear" enamel and discreetly enhanced with gold. Jean Luce is a fundamental artist, in the French art deco movement, he revolutionizes the arts of the table by stylizing as much as possible, making the decorations of the marlis of the plates disappear, and of the shaped pieces that he creates, entrusting their made by the best craftsmen. Here the pieces are made in Limoges by Vignaud, whose work we recognize from afar.... The pieces are sold in the superb boutique on rue de la Boetie. Jean Luce, chaired the Society of Decorative Artists, and above all supplied Normandie tableware, the quintessence of French art. We present here a service including teapot, milk jug, sugar bowl, and eleven cups. No accident has been reported on the pieces presented. Only the sugar bowl bears the mark of the master, an indication of unparalleled elegance, which recognizes above all the merit of the potter...
