"Fireplace Back"
Fireplace plate  representing a couple by the fire. The man holds a mallet in his left hand, the woman spins wool with her distaff. Very complete decoration of rack, cauldron, bellows, fork, tongs as well as the sun and the moon on either side of the fireplace mantel.
France, cast iron, 17th century.
