Large Fireplace Mantel
A very beautiful cast-iron mantelpiece depicting the marriage of Louy JOBERT, a locksmith from Gevigney Mercey in Haute-Saône, and Anne Francoise Adam,
he was born in 1746 and died in 1800
as for Madame, she was born in 1760 and lived until 1812.
I don’t know why the columns are crowned… perhaps it’s a royal commission, but I haven’t been able to find any information.
